You Be The Ice Cream

You be the ice cream (shiver your fingers up and down sides of child)

And I’ll be the freezer (squeeze child)

You be the lemon (cup child’s face in your hand)

And I’ll be the squeezer (hug child)

You be the hotdog (yum, yum, yum)

And I’ll be the bun (hug child)

You be ________ (name of child)

And we’ll have some fun! (tickle child)

When the Day is Over

When the day is over

And the sun goes down

And the king of the valley takes off his crown

Then the queen of the valley takes off her socks

And she wiggles her toes as she rocks, rocks, rocks.

The Airplane

The airplane has great big wings (children stretch out arms.)

Its propeller spins round and sings, Vvvvvvrrruuuummmmm. (children move right arms around in a circle.)

The airplane goes up. (they lift up their arms)

The airplane dips down.

The airplane flies--round all of the town! (With arms outstretched, they turn around twice.)

The little boy goes in the tunnel (begin to put shirt over head)

Knock, knock, knock (tap lightly on top of his head)

And out the top! (pull shirt down until his head emerges triumphantly!)

Here is a beehive,

But where are the bees?

Hidden away where nobody sees,

An elephant goes like this and like that

He’s very big, And he’s very fat.

He has no fingers, He has no toes

But goodness gracious, what a nose! (make a trunk with your arm)

Comes the little cat.

But bunny with his long ears

Hops like that! (bounce fingers up child’s arm)

Steamroller

Here is the steamroller, rolling and rolling (roll your arms over each other)

Ever so slowly because of it’s load

First it goes up to the top of the hill (roll your arms upward)

Puffing and panting it has to stand still - (pause)

Then it rolls all the way down! (quickly roll your arms downward)
